This was a sad movie. Why is it that Eddie Redmayne can only play Eddie Redmayne. At least we saw Felicity Jones give us a star performance. And how is it that a scientist can override the decisions of a pilot. Oh! I'm forgetting the director wanted to perpetuate the myth that a man knows better than a woman. Sad. Sad.

I think the movie would have benefitted from a better scene arrangement. Overuse of flashbacks to tell a story ruined the momentum of the film. I give it a reluctant D+
