Very slow, plus got tired of watching the characters just sitting doing nothing. The plot was ridiculous. Who would allow a thief to "talk" them into being submissive. There were so many opportunities to escape! If there was a rating less than 1 star I would give it.

I did not read the book or see the 1940 version. Having said that I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Love, suspenseful, and some adventure.
