Well filmed and partially well acted, however, the moral of the story in this one has me torn. What I took away is that it’s ok that the woman gave up her career dream of having a bookstore in order to become a domesticated bookseller with her rich capitalist manipulative husband. 🤔

The most formulaic and unimaginative film i’ve ever seen. This 2 hour comedy contains maybe 5 jokes, 2 of which are essentially immature ‘gay jokes’. There are no points of tension or drama at all. Cardboard cutout characters and a highly generic underdog plot make this a thoroughly beige film. They even threw in an insincere marriage wobble for good measure. It’s like the makers know that this is all it takes to sell a few copies. Bare minimum effort. You can tell they sat in the editing suite and said ‘that’ll do’ before releasing. Don’t be taken for a fool. Watch something better.
