Stellar. Freed from 30 years typecasting , Craig Fairbrass seizes his chance and gives the performance of his career as one of the most devious gaslighting manipulative bullies ever to grace our screen.Cavan Clerkin matches him as a not entirely willing victim drawn so deep into an alternate reality he loses his mind many times over . Brilliantly shot in black and white enabling us to see deep into the protagonists souls though the cracks in their expression, yet conversely giving the wider scene a shadowy depersonalised quality to emphasise Clerkin’s unfolding nightmare , this deserves many more accolades than the one award it received ( Cavan Clerkin).
