A film for those who appreciate film making in its infancy. When, as Swanson once said, "We didn't need words, we had faces". And what faces they were. It is refreshing to watch the early actors and actresses. Handsome men and beautiful women were natural beauties. They were nothing like the "cut-up" ones of today with their perfect plastic teeth and inflated breasts. There is something down-to-earth about a smile featuring pearly whites being just a few centimeters from being perfectly perpendicular, signs of early balding, etc. It is easier to identify with these individuals because of their naturalness.
There were no computer generated items. They made films with heart and true imagination created their scenery.
A true classic that helped to launch the American film industry.
