Well I knew they were going to butcher this film I just never imagined it could be quite so spectacularly. Absolutely terrible and honestly such a shame. Some films should never be remade this was one of them especially if you are going to mess up the story and the characters as well. Id give it minus stars if that was possible

The story is awful and well Nicholas cages gets maybe 5 minutes in it. There was 0 to like

I loved every film until this one. Worst by a mile. No suspense, no horror, no anticipation, no scenes last long enough, all the good bits (there is like 2) are in the trailers. I have never been more disappointed in my life not to mention that it's disjointed, 2 stories that get smooshed together at the end badly, no epic showdown, it's laughable and you just stole scenes from the other movies and tried to recreate them but did it so badly. I'd give it 0 if I could. Absolutely disgusting it's associated with the other films it's ruined the whole thing for me now

i don't know why this film has so many terrible reviews, i loved it. it was like a chilhood throwback, its like stranger things meets the goonies. i found it to be thouroughly enjoyable, a proper feel good cheese fest. i personally found it a truly hidden gem and well worth a watch.
