While the movie is a cute little tear jerker, one cannot just ignore the fact that this flick is romantizising the whole superhero/damsel-in-distress complex. The foundation of the male protagonist's attraction err "love" is superficial and limited to everyday creepy glaring, glancing and stalking. Not only once but twice the female protagonist made it clear that she is disgusted by him as she implies that he is not attractive (1. Rejection in the parking lot 2. Hearing that he is his boyfriend while in the hospital) and she even told him herself (either she was drunk or pregnant to be his girlfriend), it still proves that it is better to be the knight in shining armor and save the damsel in distress than to be man up, accept rejection, be better, move on and find someone better.
Oh yes, in the movie, it is all justifiable to be a homewrecker, a liar and a stalker. It's all cute and stuff to watch her in the parking lot, hack her computer and even snoop around his boss' laptop photos. And three years of "in-your-face affair" that the whole office knows, she thinks that she will still be the choice in the end (poor naive wife, son and unborn child). But in real life, these wrong things will never make a right and may end these two protagonists in jail. 2 stars as the actors effortlessly breathed life into their characters. Decent chick flick to watch on a lazy Saturday night.
