Ahhhh!!! This drama had my brain twirling like a bailarina to the point where I gave up social media and any kind of human interaction.. I dove in sooo deeply and just wanted to reach the end of it! At first I thought “ah! So boring and predictable” but then everything started changing and going south. Maybe I was trying too hard to read into it but man! The writers really played a mind game with me. From the very beginning I thought Junnie was the one sick and they’re trying to deviate our attention by making Dr. Chá take those vitamins. And I was right to an extent… what I wasn’t expecting is for him to be (won’t spoil🙈) and then… (won’t spoil again). From Episode 14 to the last 20min of episode 16, rivers of tears fell down my face. I was so disappointed and when I finally understood and accepted that this is the ending, the writer again played mind tricks on me. Until now I believe that Ra-ra was dreaming and/or it was a mirage 😩 I just can’t fathom how he…. After his mother sat her down and we all cried! I was happy about it, not going to lie. But at the same time it felt too much like “ let’s please the viewers by giving them an ending they want and expect.” And that low-key took the beauty of the pain, disappointment, sadness and the distress we went through the last 3 episodes a little bit. Yes I wanted a happy ending and I’m happy. But you made us anticipate a sad one so it should’ve been kept like that. Nevertheless! This was a beautiful drama. I only watched it because of Go Ara. I love her bubbly and lively acting since I saw her in Hwarang. Here again, she did not disappoint! Our beautiful and talented alchemy of souls Mr Jae Wook did not disappoint as well. He left me speechless with his acting. Every single actor did an incredible job and honestly, I can’t wait to see more from them all. This drama came out in 2020. I started watching it but didn’t finish… I’m glad my aunt told me that it’s worth giving it another shot. I’m really happy I did it! Thank you KBS, Netflix, writers, directors and everyone who made this drama come to life! 🩷
