They sat on this film that’s been finished for 3 years so they could release it ahead of the election. It’s absolute fiction. For right wingers who want be felated by film that pretends that Reagan was anything more than a corporate shill.

I was super stoked when I first saw the trailer for this. I wasn’t able to start watching the week it released so I’d already heard a lot of negative talk about the show. I went in with an open mind, ignoring the negativity. When i finally started watching I was very dissapointed. I kept with it and watched the whole season just to give every chance to improve but it did not. The story was just OK but felt like they had a partial idea for a story and just went with it even though the finer details that give a story life just weren’t there. The dialogue was poorly written. In the same way that I felt bad for Hayden Christiansen being bashed for bad acting when having to deliver lines so poorly written I felt for the actors in this show. That being said a few of the performances were just plain bad regardless of the quality of the script. The costuming was mostly bad. There were a couple of exceptions but didn’t make up for how bad others were. The cgi effects were ok but not great. I actually do think the practical effects and set design were pretty good. The final light saber battle was actually great. The very limited things that this show did right do not make up for the many things that it did very wrong. 2/10. Worst addition to the Star Wars universe yet.
