I laughed out loud about 5 times once the blatantly supernatural stuff started—her actions and reactions were so completely illogical and hysterically stupid—and finally quit watching. What irresponsible click bait these reviews are. Please don’t waste your time. There’s a reason you’ve never heard of Anthony DiBlasi. Whew boy…

Agreed with the majority of reviews that the acting, especially by the lead, was excellent. Realistically told story as well. Unfortunately, it strongly begs the question of why one would care about any of these people. You can’t even root for the lead since he sets the whole thing off for reasons they don’t get to until well into the film, and which still don’t justify him, and then it turns out he’s completely wrong about the whole thing. He’s hatefully weak, the other family is just plain hateful, and I found myself rooting for them all to just die and improve the world of the movie a bit. Tough to recommend despite the great creatives behind it.

I’m going to write screenplays. If someone got paid to write this atrocious drivel, anyone can do it. The young actors were pretty good and I wish them all the best with whatever they do in future, but the writer(s) should please PLEASE stop…

Found footage is always tough to watch, but when the acting is horrific—especially the lead, whom you have to listen to whimper and scream nonsense throughout—it makes you wonder how this got made. Pretty clearly they had the final “twist” in mind from the start, but getting there is SO not worth the horrible slog. Ter. Ri. Ble.

Atrocious dialogue, acting (excepting Patrick Wilson and Randall Park,) and story. And juuuuuust a bit heavy handed on the oh-so-original message of protecting the planet. Maybe watch it for the CGI. It’s pretty.

So unfortunate what’s happened to this series… A couple of decent moments and Paul Rudd does his usual good job, but with simply awful material. How do these things get made? Not worth your time if you have anything else to watch.

The good that could have been done with ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. Can you imagine? Instead, we have this.

I rarely write reviews, but this movie is truly laughable. I found myself asking “what human being would ever make this choice” about a dozen times throughout. I was laughing at the end. Awful.

Excellent for the feels. Definitely a bit one, loud note—but that note is important. Streep is her usual revelation, and you could just watch for her—but you should watch for that loud note, too...
