Informative, but biased. I really wanted to enjoy this book more than I did. Although I learned a lot of really interesting and important things about our health that I’m glad he brought attention to, I do agree with other reviews that a lot of it was fear mongering any other diet that is not vegan. There were many observations from references he made that although were true from that particular trial, a wide range of other studies have given evidence to the contrary that he neglected to even consider. Just like a carnivore diet would be problematic, veganism is naturally going to have its own issues and isn’t going to magically solve all your health problems as he likes to conclude. However, eating a wide range of plants is important, which I appreciate is the main point of this book. Still worth a read for the extensive food knowledge he shares and for the message of how our diets can be healing for our bodies.
