This is a terrific series that is refreshingly different to the standard cop procedurals we are served with. Laura Fraser and Ella May Purvis have a great chemistry and Ella May Purvis is outstanding at such an early stage in her career. The neuro divergent them is beautifully portrayed by the actors in a subtle, positive and unpatronising way. The whole series benefits from the European flavour of the original Astrid series although based in York. I agree with the previous reviewer; ignore critics like Lucy Mangan (the reverse Midas of reviewers IMHO) and enjoy the charming first series of, hopefully, a long running show.
