I’m confused and offput by the choice of cgi depiction. The animals do not look like any real life animal I’ve ever seen. Their faces are made to be more human like and their fur looks like plastic, it ends up being very distracting from the fantastic cast and story. I did enjoy the story and acting but the cgi was absolutely horrible. I’m curious as to what Andy Serkis thought of the visuals seeing as he is the grandmaster if cgi acting. Becasue the cgi was so awful te animals also had zero life like qualities so when they are next to a real person the cgi looks even worse. It’s too bad because like I said the story and acting were wonderful.
