Joe Moe

A sort of “The Princess Diaries”royal fantasy for gay young adults. More mature than say, “Heartstopper,” but just as affirming and positive. It is directed with buoyancy and nuance by Matthew Lopez and his cast instills incredible chemistry between all characters, but most importantly (and hotly) between Alex and Prince Henry. There is nothing extraneous here. Tight, fast, and satisfying. A light, fun watch with infectious idealism and a kingdom’s worth of wish fulfillment.
