A less visually stunning film and I would have struggled to give it three stars. The story is meh, and while the motion captured characters evoke genuine emotion, there arenโt enough likeable humans to truly engage.
But then thereโs the incredible setting, cinematography, and huge set piece scenes and itโs hard not to experience a sense of awe. I watched it in 3D, my first 3D film since Life of Pi and, oh my, it was epic.
