Acting was AMAZING, but from the second we hit play, we didn’t know what was going on in the movie’s plot. Some things get cleared up toward the middle and then it just spirals into insanity on the edge of ridiculous. My husband and I were quite unsure about this movie… I respect that they went so far out of the box of “normal” to make it interesting and new…. but some things… seriously you need to keep in the box… Was so glad to see the main actors and actresses adding warmth and meaning to the movie through emotionally convincing scenes. That was what kept this movie watchable.

Beautiful effects. My husband and I felt like we were watching National Geographic the whole time! I was so relaxed watching this, until the fighting scenes of course. I will say though, there was more plot definition in the first Avatar. This one felt... good... but not intensely creative. We enjoyed our 3D experience. I think that is what makes us give it a 7/10 rating. Without 3D may be less engaging. Maybe a 6/10. Overall, Would probably watch again. We are both a "I liked the first one better" kind of couple but we enjoyed The Way of Water !!
