We read this book at school, and the writing was SO BORING! Every single chapter felt like the same thing. It was SUPER repetitive. The characters were bad too! They were so sarcastic to the point that it was downright disrespectful. They were always disrespecting Xolotl, in the beginning of the story, Johnny was so rude to his classmates, and Carol was rude to her dad who was going through a hard time! The characters were very hard to like and they made unfunny references like “love Jedi” which I found so cringey. The book is so long too. It felt like and eternity read it in class. Overall, horrible book, don’t waste your time on this dumpster fire of a story.
