The real villain or antagonist in this series is Doron. Setting the motion of trouble in every episode and causing deaths among team members, his character miserably fails to cover up his stupid heroic acts.
He fails to heed to instructions, often impulsive, acts out of emotions, and when runs out of solutions, gets into arguments easily. I believe the series gives a perfect glimpse of how "narcissism" looks like through the character of Doron.
The real Fauda (chaos) is in his head.
Yet, there's certainly something about him getting in the way of norms, interrupting plans, and doing the unpredictable without much thinking that teach us about the survival instincts of a human being. It looks like the best way to overcome fear is to follow the fear.
Nevertheless, the series shows the trauma defense officers go through, the pain, abnormality, and sacrifice that comes along.
On the Palestinian side (which I truly enjoy), you get to see the paradox of life and death, love and hate, sustenance and the temporary. It's all conflicting until you begin to attest to the emotions behind, which makes it all worth watching.
All in all, Fauda is definitely a "chaos" binge-worthy.
