Terrible movie. I was looking foreward to seeing it the moment I heard about it. Ive been reading the books for years and couldnt wait for the asthetic of the books to come to life. Completely ruined.. I am astounded to how trashy the film was. Nothing was followed by the books. You got an american playing an englishman who cant even speak a splick of british english. His acting was horribly rough and didnt follow the aspects of the spook period. The kid who played thomas was way to old. What was the director thinking when he directed this?! It took me a solid decade beforeI could go back to re reading the books so I could properly finish the series without having that film trash embedded in my head. I’m not even a director and I couldnhave done better.solid -10/10. I am not peoud to say this is the worst review I have ever given for any film or even restaurant. I want to see a tv series that fixes this atrocity. The film wouldnt be able to do the books justice anyway
