Unlike others here, I only wasted around 30 minutes of my life trying hard to be invested in this highly questionable movie.
Nevertheless, that's 30 minutes too many.
There was no plot, neither something remotely resembling that. Far from a finished movie, this was much more a spontaneous attempt at scriptwriting by a hallucinating AI bot than an actual scenario to be taken seriously. Whatever the thing I witnessed is called, it was messy, pointless, chaotic and generally all over the place.
Whoever thought that almost two hours of forced mumbling, extensive toothbrushing, mundane non-characters whose primary goal in life is to have chicken wings for dinner, as well as a dull NPC protagonist who helps turn dead people into pot plants (I'm not making this up) would warrant a mass advertising campaign and a Netflix sponsorship should watch actual sci-fi movies first and be very ashamed of themselves.
Even the city skyline so promoted on trailers and posters was extremely unconvincing and borderline comical, clumsily blending existing buildings in La Defense and Wembley with shoddy CGI renderings of blurry and repetitive designs of skyscrapers we've already seen thousands of times.
Overall, this experience left me traumatised and disappointed at the fact that I'll never be able to have my 30 minutes of life back. Might as well just prepare the pot.
