Let's say even if you put your expectation as a RE adaptation aside, as a zombie/post-apocalyptic TV show it's horrendous. Can't even finish half of the pilot. I am a huge RE games fan, but I don't expect much for this show to be a good adaptation. However, even when I treated it as a zombie show in general (Which the creator claims they respect the IP but want to come up with their own spin), it's still hard to get hooked up. The characters are awkward, and the dialogues try too hard. The acting is off for both zombies and human, and the plot is staggering and very distracting as it utilizes parallel story lines. Not saying I don't like parallel story lines, on the contrary, I think it helps with B story and all. But in this case, it's all over the place and after twenty minutes you still don't feel like a post-apocalyptic show but a teenager drama instead. I can't say much because I didn't even finish half of the pilot. I turned it off, and watch Better Call Saul instead, man, was I in for a treat. I blaze through first six episodes in one sitting. P.S. Like most people, the one star is mostly for Lance Reddick's performance.

One of the best horror games out there, it starts slow but escalates later on. One of the underrated hidden gem, highly recommend
