Its like the golden age of first person movies such as Blair Witch or Cloverfield but without the golden and without the witch and without the kaiju.

I went in expecting a weak take on the character, and another failure after the reboot---but what I got was a fun and loyal to source hero movie of the past couple years. Though the pace is fast, to fit all the characters, watching it twice consolidated everything better for me. No big names actors, except for a few like Nicholas Hout (playing Luthor) but they all have great acting. Sups and Louis chemistry is sweet. Even late characters that shows up at the last 10 minutes resonated well. This movie is not being silly (I thought it was before watching) but its not too dark. It is a version of Superman where he isn't perfect. It is not an origin story but downright one of many fights on his timeline as a DC character. At times, I had the vibes from the original cartoons and comic books as if it was one extra episode to fit the narrative. Expect a Superman that is good, but imperfect. Strong but vulnerable given circumstances. Mister Terrific, Louis and Guy where the stars of the movie, and also Crypto---not silly at all but very smart choice by the director. Cons might range from poor official score, except the traditional Superman tunes, pace too fast to fit too much in a 2 hours long movie, it can be a problem. As a long time DC fan I have high hopes that DCEU will take-off in a glorious flight.

Terrible movie tried to make a life out of it in the real story which I bet it wasn't even close to this. Tom Hanks can't always be the savior of every movie out there and this is why they always cast him as the main protagonist hoping for that. It is uninteresting, it is slow, Tom is the only good actor around a big cast, it is the usual American-flag-weaver kinda movie with foreign people speaking foreign language in a confusing way that instead of adding tension it just adds the typical North American racism.

It is the age of stupidity. A stupid candidate got elected even though he's incoherent. A stupid movie got audience even though it is irrational. It is like generic internet comments and generation meme. Stupid. It insults my intelligence and insults my sensibility, trying to pull something bad and fooling me into believing it is good when it is simply not. ''Fans'' love this claiming to be a good bad movie, while I get worried thinking if that will one day be the bar people will want to achieve. "One day, I will do a movie like The Room." It is truly a model. The only one thing good here is that Tommy shows, with his work, that not everyone that is capable of doing something, can pull something. Even people without talent can try it and do it. For that you have my respect. But like Trump, Tommy is the product of a rich family. Intelligence declines as survivalism isn't needed.

An abomination trying very hard to be a movie. I have seen Youtube shorts made better than this. If you ever wanted to create a movie, go for it. If these people managed to win around 3 million back from a 500k investment, you probably can too. If you can't do it, so follow their steps, it seems original incompetence is attractive and actually pays.

Except for all the references to ''studs'' and horses which seems to be naive, I think that movie has excellent direction, excellent acting, excellent dialog and excellent soundtrack. The ending is perfect on any direction your perception may lead you. The best horror or drama movies are the ones who never care to explain directly who the enemy is. There are some continuity mistakes and some incoherent sequences but you can forget about it with such mature idea flowing on the screen. Sandra Bullock just refuses to get older, now that's a real enigma to me. The only complain I have is that such movies have a lot of potential to become a cinematic universe, with a couple sequences to fulfill a trilogy but since this movie has a lot of undertones and psychological meanings (it may have something to do with immigration and sexuality but I won't get into the SJW zone) it is probably unlikely it will work. I would love to have it thought as an experiment regardless, maybe some series telling other stories, that would be nice.

A literal waste of talent, source, budget and name because Disney had it all and did nothing with it. The movie is just a name. It has little to no Dumbo in the movie, because it isn't focused on the character. It is too dark while the original was emotional. If Disney didn't want to copy that, it was still incorrectly translated to today's standards anyway. Subplots were totally uninteresting. Bad dialog usually kills any form of it that may be left. Uninspired script downgrades the original masterpiece in such a low bar it is sad. The pace was too fast instead of taking time to build and expand the original. A bellow average product of a now defunct Disney. It is super sad but Dumbo 2019 doesn't live up for the legend.

I have seen mild indie movies on Youtube better than this thing, for free. If you enjoyed this movie in any way I hardly doubt you're a very demanding person, I guess this is a good thing for you? It definitely is for Neil, no matter what abomination he pulls through there will be always someone like... you... to pay for it. If Neil can do that this way, you can do it too. I can do it. I'll just grab some camera and go, singlehandedly. Chances are my editing and acting will be much better.

A genius writing and organic direction I have to applause standing at the screen even if nobody is listening. Only a couple movies of hundreds can do what Mother! did to me. Only the best movies escapes from the definition of category. You try to form up logic you're doomed, I could read and feel it playing with me while I tried to keep on track. It is unsettling, perfect cast is disturbingly realistic. While it plays analogously with fantasy, hell brakes lose (intentionally) as it depends of your triggering, it is possible to fit on any kind of interpretation. It works either way. Bravo is the only thing left to say, bravo!

All I see is waste of material, potential, resources and staff. Forget the original, I could go with something new. But the story is naive (trying to look believable like BOPE's but fails real bad) and sometimes action is really juvenile. Good ideas wasted with outdated concepts is the key word, I had the feeling I was a little kid from the early 2000s watching a kid's oriented movie. If ultra-violence can't be done nowadays, at least try to keep it up with something interesting to replace it.
