Erikka Arone

This story captures the fascinating and deeply disturbing legacy of Japanese colonialism and the indomitable spirit of the generations of Koreans who navigated occupation, famine, geopolitical turmoil, and societal changes. What I loved about the book is that is portrayed the dignity and love of so many everyday individuals with such nobility and depth. Should be required reading for anyone interested in modern Asia, or of Korean or Japanese descent.
