A superbly produced film about Irelands Great Hunger. The โfamineโ was used by the British to quelll the โirksomeโ Irish. There was plenty of food at the time but as the people fled this โfamineโ they fled on boats laden with food for the British.
This movie, more than any other shows how Britain used the potato blight to further their oppression of the Irish people.
