This book was garbage and I will give you a descriptive reason why. This book was about as original as any other bland teen drama movie. (1) It was way too cliche, Mom dies, we move, dad marries a random lady, I have a gay stepbrother whos supposed to be the gay best friend trope, and I meet hot guys everywhere. Not to mention Scar's character was so cliche, why does every main character's best friend HAVE to be this outgoing go-getter that's not how it is in real life. Not to mention Jessie was so BORING, there's nothing interesting about her, I mean she's your average teenage girl. Cool! She reads books, but does she have anything cool about her personality? Does she play an instrument, what makes her different? What will make me remember her? And not to mention the names Jessie, Liam, ETHAN, and Caleb? Common! This is LA they are supposed to have the coolest name there! I hate how this book didn't have any cool sense that shows like the LA life, it's just school, home, party, job. And that's it! Why doesn't anyone go to the beach or skating rink! The only interesting people in this book were DRI and Angunes or whatever. This book was also so predictable. I MEAN COMMON we all knew it was going to be ETHAN. Also, let's not talk about how she basically stole this whole secret admirer emailer from A Cinderella Story! This book was really boring and not-original. Considering this was my first romance novel, I am not impressed and will go back to reading Fantasy. (Also how the story ends in a kiss, so cliche.)
