Farley Granger's strong point as an actor was in portraying the type of character as presented in this film. This is perhaps his finest performance. The movie is well worth watching, but prepare yourself for a bit of introspection which is what all worthwhile films should lead one to.

Stuart Whitman gives a very sensitive performance of a man coming to grips with his inner demons. On the whole the movie contains very good acting and atmosphere.

A much better version than the 1956 film. The suspense was better played out.

Watchable, although a bit contrived. Also the songstress tried too hard to showcase her talent, which distracted from any tension the film could have built. The closing scene was supposed to be cute, but wasn't.
