*SPOILERS AHEAD*
(Squid Game S3: 6.5/10)
Okay, so my point is that they played it safe with the ending and kept it straightforward. Season 1 was on a whole different level, so I won't even compare it here. But in Season 2, the different story branches they introduced in parallel never really come together later on. And Gi-hun doesn't even feel like the main character in S3. He's just there to kill that traitor player and to die himself. Logically thinking, if he really wanted the girl's safety and his own, he could've just left the drug addict guy and killed everyone else, as the Frontman mentioned. Looking at it, he has killed before-so what difference would it make if he killed again? Whether you steal once or a hundred times, a thief is still a thief. Same logic- if he had just killed everyone excluding the drug addict and ended the game because that drug addict wants to go home anyways, then teamed up with the detective and destroyed the island themselves, then it would have definitely felt worth it-like yes, Gi-hun came back with an agenda and fulfilled it properly. Some people can say that Gi-hun's death was already happening, so for them logically think You were going to meet your daughter... Then what's important surviving or just dying pointlessly. Even Gi-hun portrayed a great message in the end, even the Frontman's mindset should've also changed because of that but what was the result in the end?? The Squid Game show continues even if without our current Frontman.
