Weakest movie in Vetrimaran filmography. The sequel falls short of Vetrimaaran’s usual standards, focusing more on ideology than narrative coherence, leaving key arcs like Bhavani Sree’s underdeveloped. Ilaiyaraaja’s music, usually a strength, feels flat, while overuse of “Thozhar” and dragged-out romantic scenes disrupt the flow. Ken Karunas’ well-written character stands out, but the film lacks the emotional depth and impact of its predecessor, which resonated deeply through its storytelling and music. Despite its moments, the sequel feels like a missed opportunity, raising questions about the reception of overly positive reviews.

A typical Indian commercial movie with some logical flaws and some great visuals and a regular plot with 2 time period parallel scenes. First 20 mins comedy didn't workout for me personally but leads for flashback portion during this time gave real goosebumps. Past portions are good and visuals were great which reminds of northmen movie but with Indian standards. Music was good during first half and second half it could have been bit mild. Overall a good watch if you're commercial movie lover who can bare first 20 mins comedy scenes and few logical mistakes for the visual experience.
