Explanations of food and cinematography is nice… I wish it played more part in the actual story line. Also there are a lot of holes in the story. A lot of things left unanswered as if they think we should figure it out ourselves. It’s rather unsatisfying. I appreciate a strong concubine or empress who doesn’t just follow the emperor blindly, but the push and pull between the main characters are a quite annoying and doesn’t make much sense. The acting is really monotonous. Not much expressions on their faces except for a few bust of emotions here or there.
