The Show was ok, however it had many disappointments. for starters I never once felt that the main cast was ever in any real danger, there were no surprises, usually the people you expected to die are the ones that almost always died, right up until the end. The last 2 or 3 Episodes i was waiting for Ruth to be killed off, i knew it was coming, again, no surprise. and the Main cast just walks away unscathed and free.... I read that the writers wanted to write the story in such a way to reflect that capitalists always win and uses and steps over others to get to their goals, and i do feel this was the main plot of the story, HOWEVER, really ? not a single main character died off, not at any one point did i even feel they were in any danger. This really disappointed me a whole lot, there was even a major car accident and they barely had any scratches, not even a broken arm or a bruised foot or nothing. The other thing that disappointed me was the way that Wendy was completely out of control and Marty often appeared very weak and submissive, This does NOT reflect real life and it was not this way in the early seasons of the show, this started to shift around the same time as woman empowerment started in hollywood, I understand that there is the whole feminist me too stuff happening and suddenly every woman must be super strong and every man weak and useless, but i think this was a terrible mistake for them to put it in the show, i literally skipped large parts of many episodes because of the "drama queen" effect it brought to the show, in real life no man would let a woman rip his family apart like that, definitely not a man dealing with mobsters. It felt very unrealistic. overall it wasn't a terrible show, but it was just average, not something i would rewatch or recommend to anyone else.
