Anyone who thought you could make a series with a bunch of characters who are children inside synthetic bodies forgot that for an Alien to matter, we have to identify with the characters.
In that sense, they created the most complicated characters for anyone to identify with.
In terms of production, the series is exemplary, and when it decides to put the children aside and tell a story with gravitas and adults, it makes episode 5, which is brilliant and is an Alien movie in itself.
All they had to do was change the synthetics to adults and we would have something much more powerful here.
A missed opportunity.^
