Love After Midnight by Sister Souljah was a page-turner that kept me engaged from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated how it connected to the storyline from the previous books in the series.
That said, I’m left with a lot of questions. Who actually shot Winter? Why did FKR Mutha have to die, and who killed him? The ending leaves many loose ends, and I can only hope this means another book is on the way to tie everything together.
While I love the continuation of Winter’s story, it’s a bit disappointing that—even after her Life After Death experience—her character still seems stuck with the same mindset she had as a teenager. I was really hoping to see more growth and maturity from her this time around.
Overall, it’s a gripping read and worth picking up if you’ve been following the series, but be prepared to walk away with unanswered questions.
