I watched the trailer and thought this movie was going to suck... I watched the movie at the cinema and WOW...such a good movie!! From the very first minute the movie was entertaining, it was funny, lighthearted but also moments that pulled on heavy emotions. The acting was great, special mention to Nicholas Hoult who was fantastic as Lex Luther. The story was great, the music was great, I really really enjoyed this movie and the emotions it made me feel. You could tell it was written and directed by James Gunn (who did some great Marvel movies). I highly recommend you watch this movie.

I love this film. The character development, the story, the acting, the humour, it gets me emotional, just...argh... great film

The movie is basically about a small group of journalists wanting to take photos of people in battle. There was no back story as to why the civil war started, who was the good side and who was the "bad" side, why Texas and California were allies... I felt like I couldnt get invested in the "war" because I didnt know any of the sides involved. There was a lot of potential to make a good film about a modern civil war in the USA...annnnnd this movie failed to do it. Not a movie I would watch again. If you're a journalist you might enjoy this film more than i did.

**Some spoilers** Jason Statham does what everyone wishes they could do to scammers. Lots of action and if you have a dark sense of humour you will find some of the killings pretty funny too. It's what you would call a standard Jason Statham film. Good action, decent story. I do feel the final act was a bit too far fetched... *spoiler ahead***... Jason takes out like 100 highly trained security/gov agents/mercenaries at once... you have to turn your brain off otherwise you will be questioning how easily he took everyone out. The standard "everyone stands around and takes on the main character one at a time". The ending felt a bit rushed and i would have liked to see Jason go full "law abiding citizen" on every single scammer. Oh well. Overall it was an entertaining movie

The script is a bit corny at times, but the movie is lighthearted and FUN. If you watch it with that in mind, you should enjoy it. Beautiful shots of Sydney. It's a fun rom-com

It's like a big budget movie with a low budget script. It is one of those films where the more you switch off your brain and ignore the plot holes, the more you may enjoy the film.

Just as good as the other Mission Impossible films.

Short review. The CGI in this film is really bad, reminds me of a really low budget "made for TV" movie. The acting...these films arent known to have Oscar winning acting performances. Megan Fox was a stand out for the worst actor in this film. The story: it was ok. This is one of those films where you just switch off your brain. Im hapoy with watching it once...but I wouldnt watch it a second time.

Partial spoiler. The movie started off pretty good. The first half had a semi interesting story...then all of a sudden... it switched. It went from a "hollywood" movie to some Sunday afternoon sharknado type dribble. It is like the writers gave up halfway through the script, got lazy, and just rushed to finish the script to reach a deadline and start filming. In the first film you had the underwater part, theb at the end the part where the shark attacks the people on that island. Similar concept with this film. Except that island part iin the 2nd half of the film is 100× more stupid. Lots of plot holes and stuff that didnt make sense. It is ok if you want to completely switch off your brain. Poor script, poor story. 2/5.

Im not going to go into detail...This is a great movie. A master piece. I rate it up there with Goodfellas. If you haven't watched it, watch it.
