As a person who's pretty new to DC and know near to nothing about the Green Lanterns and their whole story to DC. This movie was actually very good in my opinion. I'm no movie expert but all i know is that i thoroughly enjoyed this film. Although i was confused at times due to the DC lore. The beginning, middle and end were all good and at a great pacing. I for one am all about them making John Stewart the main character and have him be like a rookie learning the ropes and show his origin story. He was a very sophisticated chaarcter. Furthermore him, green arrow, shayera and adam made a great team. The movie also did do well in explainging the lantern core story, though there were a few obvious ploys, like Hal being evil. Also Sinestros death was kind of disappointing considering how great of a villain he is. The animation and art style was floorless in my opinion, the fight coreography and facial expressions as well with John. The way the camera moves and music help create a sudden surprise like when Lysaa first tried swinging at John, it caught me completely off guard! Though at the time i would of love Hal to be saved, i think him being killed off by GA was a good touch although didnt make sense cause he was all about saving everyone. Just goes to show you cant save everyone, and you have to do stuff good or bad for the right reasons. All in all in my opinion this was a great short movie which got me into Johns and the Lanterns story and side of the DC universe.
