MAJOR SPOILER WARNING.
Apart from all the positive things mentioned in the other reviews. There are a few negatives I would like to point out.
1.Bad portrayal of HARD WORK.
The Movie targets YOUNG STUDENTS in the age group 15-23 and their parents. So Students in that age group will look up to the actors for inspiration and will follow them step by step. The impact of movies on youth is evident from the PASSION KA BHOOT amongst youngsters after 3 idiots and JEE aspirants completely neglecting Inorganic Chemistry after Kota Factory.
So, the story must be designed in such a way that even if the student follows it blindly, he/she does no harm to themselves.
If we judge Chichore on the basis of the above two paragraphs, it is clearly evident that the movie shows 2 ways to achieve success. One- Talent(Bewda and Mummy)
Two- Cheating/Physically or Mentally Harming the competition.
Now if the student has to choose between one if them, most will go for the second option which is harmful for the students.
Note- The film had 5 minutes of "Bewda"
practicing Chess in his room but it had way less impact as compared to the 30 minutes of "Tikdam".
Major Spoiler warning again. If you have not seen the movie, this is the point where you should go and watch the movie first.
2.Bad Narrative.
The Ending was supposed to be a surprise moment. If they are going to lose at the End, the audience should feel like they are going to win.
Throughout the movie, we get subtle hints about the ending(All the lead actors wearing a LOSER T-Shirt with a broad smile and Anni requesting the doctor to let his son know the end of the story which makes fairly obvious that they lost and takes away the element of surprise).
Apart from that. The movie was good.
