The boring and cliche first two acts are only slightly redeemed by the sad but ultimately empty ending. The movie is shot well and the acting is above average for a Christian movie, but the lack of character building leads to antipathy towards the characters. There is a useless love triangle sloppily thrown in, and the romance moves too quickly to establish any true love. The male lead pressures and manipulates the female lead into going on a date with him, reinforcing the harmful idea that if a girl says no, you should just keep pushing her. The third, genuinely sorrowful, act is undercut by the quick resolution to the main characterโs grief. The main character is angry about his significant others death in one scene, and then in the VERY NEXT SCENE he is completely a okay. Your time is better spent somewhere else, with better written characters that you can actually care about.
