It's been a while since I've felt uplifted by a Superhero-inspired film, since most of them opted for realism, or if not, making them so out worldly that you are just enchanted by their glamour. The new Superman film has these elements, but focuses more on what made Superman a man, instead of a being with godlike abilities. Without spoiling much of the new film, some things I enjoyed from this movie: 1. KRYPTO!!!! 2. Superman's priority saving people 3. Superman's compassion for all beings 4. The chemistry between the two leads 5. Luthor! The multi-layered approach this movie (and Hoult) took to portray Luthor reminds me of how complex his character is, similar to that of the one found in Smallville. 6. Supporting Characters - to those who thought that there are a lot of comic characters that are casted in this movie, watch it and you'll see that none of them was wasted. Each has a reason why they've been placed. 7. Eve!!! 8. Jimmy Olsen's character arc 9. Mr. Terrific - brilliant!!! 10. Guy being guy 11. Rex Mason 12. Those cameos in the aftermath... especially the real owner of Krypto - brilliant!!! Will I watch it again? Hell yeah!! It's been a while since I watched a movie multiple times while it is in the theaters due to the price of movie tickets nowadays. I think I will watch this one again (or even 2 more times) to see it again on widescreen. 😁😁😁 MOVIE RATING: 4/5
