I am a huge Lilo and stitch fan, I have a lot of merchandise and have seen the original movies countless times as well as the animated series....I was super stoked when this adaptation was announced and went so far as to call the day off work to go see it on its release date.....only to be disappointed. Any true stitch fan should understand this. Granted the casting was good and stitch was still adorable but the film took a darker turn focusing more on the struggling family and making it more realistic then in the cartoon, like isn't life depressing enough....not to mention they turned Jumba into a bad guy which was not his role...yes I know that when they do these "live action" movies that they change things but to me this was a drastic change....that's like if in the lion king movie if they got rid of scar and made timon and pumba villainous....it just doesn't work. Now I'm.not saying the movie isnt watchable but if you a die hard stitch fan like me, prepare to be a bit disappointed. They really could have done a better job
