This collection of poems covering an epic expedition was simply perfect. I started slowly, savouring all of the images and emotions and then I had to gobble it all up. I have returned to a few passages that resonated with me deeply. Bronwyn captures her experience discovering this remote landscape, herself and pieces of Indigenous knowledge in a deeply reflective and exposed way. I usually love fiction, but have recently found myself drawn to strong women writing of adventure and reasons they are drawn to nature. I am also committed to listening to a variety of voices as I learn more about Turtle Island and the Peoples that have lived here for time immemorial. You will learn something about yourself while reading this book. Enjoy!
