It was such an enjoyable watch.
The way the true and horrifying natures of war was portrayed in the viewpoint of the kids was very well done. It did not shy away from harsh topics such as death yet it was still handled respectfully.
Though it was only 10 episodes, it filled in a lot of story beats and plot points that tied around each other so neatly even if the fun adventures of the kids were mixed alongside it.
The cast of brave and unique kids who are all interesting with their own likes and little quirks, made them all so likeable and so fun to root for. (even if one was a bit of a jerk at the start; but hey that's what kids are I suppose)
The adults, who provided great suspense and action but also wholesome and sad moments were also great.
The art style and the backgrounds are all so fascinating (I might use it as reference). You can tell how much detail has been given on each scenery and how the visual and audio effects are so well done that it actually made you feel as if you were actually there.
I certainly enjoyed the watch though I wished I could see more of the aftermath and the futures of the kids.
If I could give this rating another star, I would. I do wish more animated shows were like this.
Apologies for the long rant, but I just can't help to gush more about this show it's SO GOOD. Or at least good for folks like me who enjoys fun slice of life vibes.
