Movie does show real life situations and struggles however..there is a lot of material in the movie about God and I tell you to be discerning and dont be decieved. I am a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and this movie is decieving to people who do not know the Lord. The ending shows the main character essentially ascending to heaven even though he was an unbelieving, homosexual glutton which absolutely is incorrect. People will not go to heaven because they are nice or are good people or do good things and most definitely living a sinful life and not repenting if your sins will not. Heres the truth. The (Only) way to heaven is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Accepting God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for OUR sins. He paid debt he did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay. Jesus says " in John 14:6 "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the father (heaven) except through me. Here's the Gospel. Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". We all are sinners and we need a savior. We CANNOT get to heaven on our own. To sin is to be separated from God forever. Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the Good news, we have a savior! John 3:16 "for God so loved the world he gave his only son that whoever (Believes) in him (Jesus Christ) shall not perish but have everlasting life. Romans 10:9 "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God had raised him from the dead, you will be saved."in order to be saved you must believe Jesus christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again from the dead to give us eternal life. It's a free gift we must simply believe and accept his free gift. We cannot earn our way into heaven, Jesus is the only way. If you accept Jesus then he will accept you. Romans 10:13 "For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." So dear people do not be decieved. the enemy will work through movies, music, people, anything he can to get you to perish with him because God already won and defeated death on the cross and raising again from the dead. But the enemy or the devil doesn't want you to know or believe that. Read your Bibles, go to church Love God first and most and love your neighbor like Jesus christ loves you, he died to save you. If you want to invite Jesus into your life say this prayer and mean it " Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and I'm sorry for my sins and i ask you to forgive me of my sins, I believe that Jesus christ died on the cross for my sins and was risen again from the dead, I accept your free gift of eternal life and I repent of my sins and invite you Jesus into my life to be my Lord and Savior and I will follow you from this moment forward, in Jesus name, Amen. Acts 2:38 " repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. God says " Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hears my voice and opens the door I will come in. The question is not if we will live forever,we will live forever. but the location of where we will live forever is the question. Change your eternal address from hell to heaven. Believe in him and repent.It's not God's will (wish) that any of his children should perish but he gives us free will. The choice is yours.
