Fun and entertaining with moments that make you gasp, laugh and cringe. I wanted to eat an ibuprofen after watching the hits that stuntmen can take. It seemed as if the whole cast had fun making this movie. Also can’t go wrong with Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling is the golden ticket in movies right now. It’s worth dishing out the dollars to see it in theaters with a big screen and shaking sound effects.

I walked out multiple times with strong emotions saying I won’t watch something so outdated, but kept going back to keep watching it because it was that good. My mom and I were watching Christmas movies on TCM trying to figure out how this was part of it through our tears, but both better for seeing it. It’s beautiful and heart wrenching, the performances are award winning for good reason, and the costume design is classic and beautiful. The fact that it was made in 1959 but resonates so accurately in 2023 shows the experiences this family face are timeless and simply human existence. I can only imagine the audience experience in a collective theater, together they’d walk out silent and reflective maybe crying and ready to call their mommas. So happy TCM exists and exposes me to cinematic art and these stories that need to be told even decades later are heard. Mahalia Jackson demands your attention during her part. I’m still reeling.

Pretty good and worth a festive watch! Grew up with the first movie and hated the sequels, so I didn’t even want to watch this. It was on at my brothers house and it made me laugh. I think it’s campy, but that’s why I love Christmas and the themes ring true. It’s feel good, the characters are fun, and thematically reminds me of the original movie: family, wonder, love and a little bit of magic are the meaning of Christmas, not store sales, viral decorating trends, and jam packed schedules. If anything, it taught me to stop and smell the roses (or cookies?) this holiday season.

One of my favorite Christmas romances to watch! Unique and interesting story line and the acting is good for a lifetime movie. Not nearly as campy as some during this time. Like there’s bad and then there’s BAD and I consider this movie very good! I rewatch it multiple times throughout the holiday season!

As a fan of The Twilight Zone, The X-Files, and Unsolved Mysteries this show was surprisingly right up my alley. Living in the PNW helps because if you’ve ever driven through some of these mountain towns the characters aren’t very far fetched. The characters are fun and not over the top annoying like some kids’ shows. I appreciate they didn’t try to drag out the storyline and went for quality over quantity with the episodes. Great show to turn on for easy watching, but also clever if you want to look for the codes and hints throughout. Give it a try! Season 2 is a wild ride and worth the silliness of season 1. Adventure, humor, great storytelling, detailed animation, this show is 5/5!
