Its time that the writers and directors realise that the success of a movie does not depend on the lone performance of the hero. Every character should be given equal and logical screen presence. Thats when the movie appeals to this generation. Gone are those days when movies become hit cause of giving more footage to the hero.
This is what is missing in Coolie no.1. While Varun is present in every shot, you see very little performances from other actors. They are there only as props. I am sure even the other actors in the movie must have realised this after seeing the final cut.
I personally did not enjoy the movie. I love rom coms. But this one is not palatable.
