The descriptions and the detail in this book made it very interesting and fun to read. I loved all the detail about the ship and the passengers. The first 250 pages dealt with the voyage which I found refreshing. A lot of the book was about the titanic before the iceberg incident. We learned about the woodworking, the furniture, the suites where they lived, the dishes, the smoking room, and also about the clothing, and the jewelry that the ladies wore.
The character development was very good I enjoyed the three plots of the three sisters. I also like that several of the characters did survive the disaster. On our wall in my house we have a tile from the smoking room in the titanic. This book refers to the smoking room five times. It was first class and per men only. I found this wonderful as no book ever talks about the smoking room.I found the entire book very worthwhile. I never post an evaluation but I was moved to do it this time. I will recommend this to my reading club. Thank you
