Am I the only one getting tired of the Disney Starwarsizing of action movies? Predator is supposed to be an action horror, not a family action movie. Without spoiling the movie, they pretty much do the typical Disney recipe of adding too much comedy, a cute creature companion and a touching family bond. None of these things belong in a predator movie. I enjoyed the eye candy and knowing more about the predators themselves and absolutely loved the continued mingling of the alien universe but I just felt this movie was too family friendly/silly.

While entertaining and certainly action packed with some nostalgia thrown in. This movie didn't really add anything to the Tron series, it basically just taunts us with AI taking over humanity if we let it and just barely hints at the previous Tron Legacy at the end. My biggest complaint is lack of grid. In the two previous movies, we got to see entire cities of the grid, full of programs. You got the sense that the grid was an entire civilization. In this movie, very little time is spent on any grid and what time is spent there you see very few(less than 5) programs at any time. Most of this movie is spent in our society and while I get that's the purpose of the storyline, it's not what I wanted to see. 3/5, worth watching but its not nearly as good as the previous Tron movies.

30 minutes in and NOTHING has happened, I mean nothing. I get these low budget movies try to build suspense and use the whole "less is more" approach, but this is just boring. Believe the reviews.. it's not even so bad that it's fun to watch, it's just plain slow and boring with annoying college age kids.

28 inches later.. **SPOILER FREE** TLDR Lots of zombie sausages. Feels like 3 different directors filming. Plot points bounce all over. Ridiculous ending. Did I mention the zombie hot dogs? I loved 28 days later. Even with it being filmed with a 1990s cam corder, it was brilliant. But I noticed some unnecessary dong in it. So surprise surprise the same director has come back with a vengeance in 28 inches..woops 28 years later. I have never seen so much man meat outside of an adult movie, to make it worse it's all zombie hot dogs. It really distracts from the movie and becomes clear that the director has some sort of fetish because it almost seems like more budget was spent on those prosthetics than any action scene. The movie bounces all over the place when it comes to a plot point. It felt like the director has a multi personality disorder of some kind with the biggest personality being the hot dog vendor. Yes there's plenty of action, but it's mostly about a teenager guiding his ill mother through fields of hot dogs to meet a very morbidly weird hermit. There's some gun play that lasts maybe 60 seconds but luckily for the zombies, they can't hit anything and I'm unsure why it was included in the plot at all. My two biggest.. larges... Sorry I can't get the zombie hot dogs out of my head. My two main issues of this movie were how ridiculous the ending was and how it truly felt that multiple directors were piecing a movie together each with their own very differing style. If you're wanting the original movie or even the action of the second. You'll have to settle for unsettling because that's about all this movie is. Would I see it again? Maybe.. am I eager for them to do another? Yes.. yes I am. That said this was not the best movie of the three in the series.

Why I dislike this show 1. It's dreadfully slow paced. While there are some action packed moments, the rest of the show is a snooze fest, like the walking dead, it's sort of a soap mixed with zombies. 2. The main characters actress is just annoying, she's both odd looking, odd sounding and odd acting to a point it distracts you from the story. 3. As is typical of HBO, they are pushing "the message"/social agendas strong in all their shows and I realize in the games there was some of this, but it comes on a bit strong in this series. As a guy, I don't mind some girl on girl kissing but when it's from the actress who plays Ellie and she looks like she's 12.. it's just weird. 4. SPOILER alert - They kill off the main character(pedo pascal) on ep 2 season 2.. and with that, any interest at all in watching the show is gone, because the only people left(Ellie) are extremely obnoxious and annoying. Reasons I like this show 1. The monsters look really cool 2. You get to see the monsters for like 60 seconds of every hour long episode between all the soap drama/filler. 3. Pedro Pascal is the only real reason this show is worth watching. 4. sorry, that's all I got.

If you thought Space Odyssey was boring, you'll hate this movie too. Like 2001 Space Odyssey. Back when it came out, all of this was cutting edge, both the technology shown and the thrills in the movie. But since then, movies have gotten quicker paced with more action and things that peak your interest. This movie is slow paced, has things we've seen a million times before in movies made since.(And done better.) It would be like comparing the original Wolf Man to the modern one. I'm not saying either is good, but the new one is far more entertaining. This movie is quite boring. I gave up 30 minutes in.

A really neat different adaptation of an old vampire story. Really enjoyed the acting and visuals. The vampire himself was amazing, extremely creepy. I loved the ending! That said, as long as the movie was, I felt it was very very fast paced, skipping through everything at warp speed which left me wanting more. 6.5 out of 10

Another "slow burn" horror movie that rates highly by the snobs on RT but rates poorly for us mere mortals. It seems like low budget movies always go for the "less is more" slow burn approach. And while I understand the "critics" like to talk about how only intellectuals need apply, I feel like deep down even they know this is just boring. Please stop making slow burn movies.. please..

Interesting yet true story about how a few horrible people took advantage of Osage tribe members. Lots of talented actors and I feel the story was told thoroughly. The problem is the movie is too darn long. At three and a half hours long, it could have been easily cut by an hour and still given us the complete picture. It just dragged on and on. By hour three I was ready for it to be over but figured I was already too invested to walk away. It's worth watching but is not a thriller and not an action movie, nor is it fast paced. I'd best describe it as a historically accurate drama.
