Some shows are just too good for mainstream success.
Dark. Honest. Vindictive. Satirical. Hilarious.
Probably the best family drama I've seen since The Sopranos.
And yes, it IS like the Sopranos in a lot of ways. An engaging, brutal, fascinating family drama with a crazy, manipulative, magnetic head of the family. The only difference is The Sopranos was about Mafia robbing the world, whereas Succession is about Media moguls doing the same.
This show is the definition of "For the classes, not the masses." I'm not surprised it's not a big hit. But it's brilliant.
