Honestly, this book is so dull and dry in general. Of course, it's an old English novel, but for God's sake, Brontë is overly descriptive. None of the characters are interesting, and Jane is too whiny. I often get lost whenever reading this book, and I always have to use SparkNotes in order to figure out what the chapter was even yapping about. As for the events in the novels; they feel a bit random at times, and don't connect to the plot at all. The chapters are incredibly long too, and I often get bored. I was also required to read this for English, and I tried to keep an open mind while reading this, and it's not working out. If you're trying to find some good classic novels in general, I would highly recommend for you not to read this book.
