I have read this book 3 times. Looking back at it and reading the other reviews, its okay. It could have done better. What really drew me in at first was the cover art. It looked really cool and once i read the summary, I was into it. Looking back, some of the plot points seemed,,,rushed? Like the author wanted to write more but couldnt go back to it. For example, I feel we met Jake way too quickly and Layla was too trusting of him. Along with the fact the author was focusing too much on Jake,Layla and David's relationships and not the, I dont know, being confined from other people because of your faith? I feel like this premise would have worked if we had more POVs of other people in Mobious(heck even people from the outside) besides Layla Another thing that was off was Jake having some sort of feelings for Layla. She is stated to be 17 but it made me uncomfortable on how scenes with her and Jake are described because he's about in his early 20s.
