Book- ‘5 Killer Habits Be a Rebel’.
Author- Sree Krishna Seelam,
Review by- Pranav Talke (Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai).
‘Sree Krishna Seelam’ wrote this book in an organized manner which helped me as a reader and
I also found it very convenient to read. The book being in an arranged and orderly manner is
very easy to comprehend and most of the people will find the book easy to grasp. The book is
divided into five chapters as the title of the book itself suggests (5 killer Habits) i.e. each chapter
talks about a habit which proves to be very important and useful for a successful and happy life. I
would classify this book as a self-help book. In my personal opinion the book opens up a new
path, a new perspective for us about life.
The author also quoted various famous philosophers and thinkers like Aristotle and Socrates and
various authors like Robert Collier which I think increase the credibility of the text. Once one of
my teacher said that even when you have a very good opinion but if you don’t have substance to
back it up then it is pointless and this is what I am learning even in my law school.
The author encourages us to be a ‘Rebel’ and like all of his thoughts he backs it up with
substance. He quotes a very good quote by Socrates- “Smart people learn from everything and
everyone, average people from their experiences, stupid people already have all the answers.i
One think I loved about this book is that the author has not attempted to sugarcoat something of
some false facts to make profit rather he has based all of it on actual facts based on realities. He
didn’t fear about how his book will be criticized and he believed in himself and because of this
my respect for him increased.
I would like to conclude that I would highly recommend to read this book and as a matter of fact
it is written in a simple language so the masses can very much read it. I know that this review is
quite positive and not much negative and that is because I analyzed it that way.
