Tip before reading: WATCH IT IN SWEDISH (with subtitles if you need them, like me). Personally, I felt more connected to the characters and show that way. I heard about Young Royals on social media, and immediately went to go watch it. Out of the Netflix originals I’ve watched, Young Royals is my FAVORITE. The actors did a beautiful job of conveying the raw emotions of love, anger, betrayal, loss, etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the casting choices, as the teenagers were realistic (unlike other shows). Not only was the acting and writing amazing, the cinematography was BREATHTAKING. I was very disappointed when the show ended, and I can’t wait for the next season. PLEASE RENEW IT NETFLIX!! More Thoughts: 1. If you like a slow-burn romance, this is the show for you! 2. Excellent portrayal of real things like ADHD, the struggles of sexuality, being outed, and drug abuse. 3. I loveeeed the royalty themes, especially the forbidden romance. Hope to see it play out!!
